Based on South Pasadena's preliminary Historic Resources Survey, there are 433 potential historic properties within 300 feet of the proposed Meridian Variation alignment. Most of these are components of potential districts that would be affected by the proposed width of the freeway and the 4-5 level interchange with the Pasadena Freeway. Many homes have not been evaluated by Caltrans and could fall prey to bulldozers.
